Reports tonight suggest that Samir Nasri has agreed on a loan deal to join Besiktas on loan ahead of the upcoming season. The former France international held talks with Besiktas’ president today in London, and a move is only missing a signature say L’Equipe.
Nasri has been frozen out by new Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola as he feels the Frenchman’s poor attitude and lifestyle will not benefit the team in any way. Just a few short weeks ago, Nasri appeared in a music video with drugs and sex as the theme, and it’s something the City hierarchy haven’t taken too kindly to.
With talks at an advanced stage between the two parties, the payment of his €6.5million salary was the discussion today, and it’s believed City will be paying 40% of his wages. Besiktas will pay £2.5million to sign the former Arsenal midfielder on loan with the option of a three-year contract at the end of the current deal.
