Manchester City are still in the hot in pursuit of Bosnian defender, Saed Kolasinic. The future of the Schalke defender is still has not been concluded. It was thought not too long ago that Arsenal had agreed a deal to bring the Bosnian to the Emirates Stadium on a free transfer. However, today BILD are reporting that Kolasinac could still join Pep Guardiola at City.
City and Arsenal have both apparently offered the 23-year-old €140,000 per week to join their respective sides. AC Milan are still in with a chance to sign the left-back but are seen as outsiders to City and Wenger’s Arsenal side.
A new contract at Schalke has been on the table for some time, however the likelihood of him signing the contract is almost zero.
It’s no secret that Pep wants to sign defensive reinforcements, especially at full-back to replacement the ageing Gael Clichy, and Kolasinac would be the ideal replacement. The Bosnian sees himself as a ready fit for the Premier League according to Sport Witness lastest report on the defender.
Schalke currently sit 10th in the Bundesliga, and Kolasinac’s importance to the side is well documented and backed up with statistics.
Kolasinac wouldn’t be the big name that all fans are hoping for, but you cannot go wrong with a free transfer. Would you like to see Kolasinac in a City shirt next season?
