French youth international David Faupala has had his time in Holland cut short with immediate effect. Dutch outfit NAC Breda have terminated the season long loan and sent Faupala back to Manchester as the loan spell benefited none of the parties involved.
The 19-year-old forward Faupala initially joined the Breda along with City youngsters Brandon Barker, Ashley Smith-Brown and Thomas Agyepong. After just four league appearances, Faupala now leaves the club to rejoin Simon Davies’ EDS side.
Faupala made quite an impression for City when he scored on his debut for the club in last season’s 5-1 FA Cup defeat to Chelsea in February. Since then, little impact has been made at the club by the French prodigy and it looks more and more likely his career will lay elsewhere.
City’s chiefs are unlikely to be content with the progression of some of the youngsters in Holland, but a number of factors would be contributing to the downfall of many in the second tier of Dutch football.
