Manchester City hosted Spurs at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, in a clash of two Premier League powerhouses.

City, coming into the game off the back of a 4-0 demolition by Everton last weekend, needed to combat the critics of recent times by securing a victory over Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

On the other hand, a Spurs team visiting in fine form with six wins on the bounce in the league looked like they could provide a tough match-up for the blues.

City started the stronger, being dominant in early stages and counteracting Spurs’ three at the back formation well which has worked to perfection in recent games.

But now with the wounds still healing, where should City look to improve on ahead of their visit to South London and the game against Crystal Palace.

Here, we are looking at five things City could learn from the damaging draw going into this Saturday’s Cup clash at Selhurst Park.
