Manchester City striker Kelechi Iheanacho has attracted interest from two clubs in recent weeks following a lack of game time at the Etihad Stadium. Vanguardngr is reporting that the Nigerian forward is now wanted by both Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona.
Iheanacho’s former Nigerian youth coach Danladi Nasidi has stated that two clubs have been alerted to his potential availability of the forward with the impending arrival of Gabriel Jesus in January.
Speaking to All Nigeria Soccer, Nasidi believes that clubs are hovering around Iheanacho’s potential availability but believes he should remain in Manchester.
“I have been told two teams are interested in signing Kelechi now. He is doing fine in Man City, and I want him to stay and grow with City before moving to another club.” Nasidi stated.
Tottenham are in dire straits regarding their forward options as the form of new signing Vincent Janssen is a major worry for the North London outfit. Harry Kane’s injury forced Janssen to be the talisman at White Hart Lane and the Dutch forward ultimately failed in the task.
City are not believed to want to sell Iheanacho, and the young forward remains a pivotal part of what City hope to achieve in the coming years.
