Yaya Toure’s future remains in doubt after it was rumoured he was still considering City’s new contract offer that has been tabled in the last few days.
The Ivorian’s situation has numerous clubs on high-alert, one of them being West Ham according to the Daily Mail.
His current deal expires in the summer and him leaving would see the end of a seven-year tenure with the Sky Blues.
The 33-year-old wishes to stay in the Premier League and there is no denial that Yaya would be a fantastic coup for The Hammers.
Considering his age, ever since he was reinstated into the first-team, he has made a case for himself to be provided with a new deal.
A current wage of the around £230,000 mark is deemed too substantial to pay, and if Toure was to stay in England, other clubs could only command around half of that.
West Ham are in a stable financial position and could afford his high wages, so if Yaya was to move, the Olympic Stadium could be his destination.
