Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo has joined Manchester City on a four-year deal. The Chile international leaves Barcelona after two seasons with the club.
Manchester City have announced the signing of Barcelona and Chile keeper Claudio Bravo for around £13 million with add-ons that could see the deal reach £17 million.
Bravo signs a four-year deal and will be going straight into the squad to face West Ham this weekend.
Bravo has almost won every trophy during his time with Barcelona. Ten major honours in his last two years since joining Barcelona has seen him with eight with his club and two Copa America titles.
City have pursued a goalkeeper all summer since Guardiola’s arrival and favoured a move for Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen. A deal never materialized, however, with Bravo, Guardiola can ensure his philosophy can be implemented by his goalkeeper.
The future is bright with Bravo between the sticks and cement City’s status as an elite club once again.
