Former Manchester United trialist Yeboah Amankwah has signed for Manchester City.
South London-raised Amankwah, 16, joined Manchester United on trial in October but has stunningly signed for Manchester City in a move that surprised everyone.
It is understood United expected Amankwah to sign with them permanently but he instead joined City as a scholar joining their u16 youth team.
City youth scouting manager Joe Shields tweeted a picture of Amankwah in his United kit two months ago but now it won’t be long until we see Amankwah in a City shirt.
City’s academy continues to make strides to become the best in the world and signing players like Amanakwah further sums of the impression the facilities hold on young talent.
Amankwah has annoyed a lot of people at Old Trafford following the move, but it see’s City take revenge on the Red Devils after academy player Frederic Veseli’s move to United in 2012.
