Goals from Sergio Aguero and Ilkay Gundogan secured victory as the duo both hit a brace in a comprehensive win. Guardiola’s City returned to the summit of the Premier League table as they go in pursuit of a first Premier League title since 2014.
The Blues were quick off the mark and stamped their authority on the match from the off. Guardiola’s tactics were clear and concise. Press, pass and be accurate. Aguero looked like was fit to destroy any opposition defender who attempted to prevent him from having an influence, and it also meant the first win since September’s victory over Swansea.
