Following the success of Enes Unal, Manchester City are preparing another swoop for a Turkish prodigy. Altınordu FK goalkeeper Berke Ozer has been identified by the Blues as a potential signing according to Türkiye Gazetesi.
The 16-year-old is seen of as one the top players of his generation and likened to Italian goalkeeping prodigy Gianluigi Donnarumma. City have been scouting the goalkeeper for almost two years and are ready to enter into talks to sign him.
Pep Guardiola is set to follow a similar approach with Ozer like previously done with Enes Unal. The City forward was loaned out to FC Twente and has since scored 11 goals in 16 games. Ozer will gain valuable experience if City can convince him to join the club.
Ozer has made the bench for his club against Manisaspor in the Turkish league and is especially impressive during the club’s UEFA youth league cup win this season.
