Turkish side Besiktas want to sign French midfielder Samir Nasri. The midfielder is currently not wanted by Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola and been told to find a new club. The Istanbul side are hopeful of striking a deal with the 29-year-old in the near future.

Since his arrival to Manchester City in 2011, Nasri has won five trophies and been involved with two different managers. Now Pep Guardiola does not want the Frenchman around his side and deems him surplus to requirements.

Besiktas were previously linked with a move for fellow team-mate Aleksandar Kolarov but he is set to stay in Manchester. Besiktas lost star man Gokhan Tore to West Ham this summer and are hopeful of signing Nasri on a season-long loan. Nasri’s wages would need to be shared with City for a move to occur.
