Spanish club Celta Vigo have admitted they hope to bring Spanish international Nolito back to the club in the summer, following a season in the Premier League with Manchester City. The club’s Director of Football has openly admitted that nothing would be impossible regarding Nolito’s potential return.
In a press conference, Felipe Miñambres revealed the club have discussed the possibility of bringing Nolito back from England to the home where he established himself as a Spanish international.
He said: “There will need to be conditions that depend more on Nolito than us financially, but it is very early to look at this situation as the life of a footballer has many ups and downs, and anything can happen between now and the end of the season”.
Nolito joined City in July 2016 for £13.8million after impressing for the mid-table La Liga side. During his stint at Celta, Nolito established himself as a regular featuring Spanish international. Now, after just one season, Nolito looks set to leave Pep Guardiola’s side and return to his home country.
Since making his debut against Sunderland in August, Nolito has featured 27 times for the Manchester outfit, scoring six times, and assisting on five other occasions.
