Pep Guardiola is interested in signing former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez. The 28-year old Mexican currently plays for Bayer Leverkusen.

Manchester City are interested in signing Javier Hernandez from Bundesliga outfit, Bayern Leverkusen. The moe comes as City are on the verge of parting with Ivorian striker Wilfried Bony who is set to join West Ham. The former Swansea striker, Bony, has been linked with a move to China also.

Hernandez has been impressive form since he joined the Bundesliga. In just twenty-eight games he manged to score seventeen league goals. Now reports in Mexico suggest that Guardiola is lining up the Mexican forward as he prepares to finalize his squad ahead of the new season.

Whether the move materializes, it’s difficult to say. Leverkusen have spent a lot of money strengthening the squad ahead of the new season and will be very reluctant to allow ‘Chicharito’ to leave.
