Leicester City have revived their interest in Manchester City forward Patrick Roberts and remain hopeful the forward can be included in a deal which will see Riyad Mahrez move to the Etihad Stadium.
The Telegraph have reported the news coming from the King Power Stadium that the 2015/2016 Premier League champions want the £15million-rated forward as part of the sale of Mahrez to Pep Guardiola’s side.
As reported by John Percy, City had offered £60million for the 27-year-old Algerian in January, but Leicester rebuffed City’s attempts to sign their star player unless his £90million price-tag was offered.
Both clubs are locked in transfer negotiations for the 2016 PFA Player of the Year and Leicester want England under-21 international Roberts included as a possible replacement.
Roberts has been on loan at Celtic since January 2016 and has impressed numerous suitors under the tutelage of former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers.
Pep Guardiola rates Roberts highly, but the City boss is willing to allow him to depart should it unlock a deal to bring Mahrez to Manchester.
