Premier League leaders Manchester City are desperately hoping to bounce back from three successive defeats which have seen them crash out of the Champions League and experts begin to doubt their title credentials.
City midfielder Fernandinho will miss the clash with Tottenham at Wembley after picking up a tenth yellow card of the season when City lost 3-2 to bitter rivals Manchester United.
Pep Guardiola has confirmed John Stones (injured) is out but right-back Danilo may pass a late fitness to start against Tottenham.
City beat Spurs 4-1 in December which is Mauricio Pochettino’s side’s last league defeat. Since then, Spurs are on course to finish in the top-four and hopefully cement a second-placed finish and Champions League football for next season.
So, with Guardiola confirming only fourteen fit first-team players are available for selection, this is the starting eleven he could pick to end the rot of three successive defeats.
