Manchester City forward Lukas Nmecha is attracting interest from two Championship clubs, Blackburn and Swansea, according to The Sun journalist Alan Nixon.

The Premier League champions are content on letting the German-born forward leave on a season-long loan next season to gain valuable first-team experience.

Nmecha scored his first goal for City’s first-team last night during the club’s 3-2 victory over Bayern Munich. But it seems he’s more likely to depart for the Championship instead of competing against Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus for a starting berth ahead of the new season.

Nmecha was a standout performer for City’s u18 success in recent years and led the line in the same team as Phil Foden and Brahim Diaz. Despite some big names missing due to the World Cup, Nmecha is seemingly highly-regarded having started all of City’s pre-season games in America.

A loan move for the youngster could see him increase his potential and possibly become a first-team player for the Blues in the future.
