Pep Guardiola has spoken about Celtic striker Moussa Dembele and agrees the goalscoring sensation is admired by him. Speaking to the Daily Record, Guardiola has hailed the Celtic forward and describes him as an ‘exceptional.’

Tonight, Manchester City play host to Celtic tonight in the Champions League and Dembele is expected to lead the line for the Hoops tonight. Dembele has already hurt City this season having scored twice against Guardiola’s men in September during a 3-3 draw at Celtic Park.

The French striker has scored 17 goals in 28 games and scouts expected to be in Manchester tonight to watch the former Fulham forward.

“The quality (in Dembele) is there. He is an exceptional player.” said Guardiola.

The news comes just days after Manchester City lost star forward Sergio Aguero for four games due to suspension. Aguero saw red against Chelsea and will miss the club’s upcoming games until City visit Liverpool on New Year’s Eve.
