Manchester City’s summer transfer plans are falling into place with Kylian Mbappé and Thiago Alcantara the club’s priority targets this summer.
Sky Sports News report the PSG forward, and Bayern Munich midfielder, top City boss Pep Guardiola’s summer shopping-list and the Blues are monitoring each player.
Guardiola will be handed a £200million transfer kitty to make signings in key areas and enhance City’s chances of turning domestic dominance into continental success over the coming years.
Mbappé, 19, will join Paris-Saint Germain on a permanent basis from AS Monaco for £167million but UEFA are believed to be investigating the Ligue 1 Champions financial accounts with City waiting to pounce should PSG be required to sell the France international.
Bayern Munich’s Thiago is also highly coveted by Guardiola who spent time with the player at Barcelona and Bayern Munich. The 27-year-old has been identified as the player capable of inspiring youth into an aging midfield as Fernandinho, Yaya Toure and David Silva are all in their 30s.
Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha is wanted by Pep Guardiola, but he’s not believed to be a priority at this stage.
