The Dip in form

After a flying start of six wins from the first six league games, and a further four wins in all competitions, City were on top form and eased their way to the top of the Premier League.

However, in October, City nearly went the whole month without a win if it wasn’t for the dismantlement of West Brom in the latter game that month.

With the first loss to Spurs, City continued their winless streak with frustrating home draws against Everton and Southampton, accompanied by losses in the EFL cup and Champions League to add insult to injury.

The win at the Hawthorns was seemingly an anomaly when yet another home draw resulting of a lackluster performance against Middlesborough, thankfully the form picked up from that point but if we had replicated the form of the previous month, the table would be somewhat different now.
