Manchester City’s record against Liverpool at Anfield is genuinely abysmal, however, in the lead up to the first-leg of the Champions League quarter-final clash, it may be time to look back at some classic City goals scored on Merseyside.
The Blues have failed to secure a victory over Liverpool on their home soil since May 2003, when Nicolas Anelka’s late brace stole the three points for Kevin Keegan’s newly-promoted side.

Supporters would have been mistaken if they thought the Abu-Dhabi takeover in 2008 would see the entirety of the tag ‘typical City’ disappear, but sometimes even money cannot end hoodoos such as City’s current one at Anfield.
With that in mind, it’s time to look back at City’s most memorable goals at Anfield and countdown just which strike was the pick of the bunch.
